Terms of Use

StudySlate is operated by an independent individual based in China under the StudySlate name (“StudySlate,” “we,” or “us”). These Terms govern your use of the service. By using it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who can use StudySlate
You must be able to agree to these Terms under the laws that apply to you. If you are a minor, use StudySlate with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping access to your sign-in email secure.
2. What the service provides
StudySlate turns text or PDFs you submit into AI-generated study guides, flashcards, and quizzes. It is a study aid, not a teacher, an official course resource, or professional advice. Results may contain mistakes, omit important context, or cite a source page incorrectly. Check anything important against your original material and reliable sources before relying on it.
Searchable PDFs are read directly; scanned pages may be rendered and sent for text recognition. A PDF or model request may fail if its content is unreadable, unsupported, or outside the applicable limits.
3. Plans, limits, and availability
The free plan has a limited monthly allowance. An optional paid plan provides higher limits. The current generation, file, page, and saved-pack limits are shown on the Plans page. Monthly generation allowances reset on a UTC calendar-month basis and unused generations do not carry forward. Daily attempt limits and service-wide AI capacity limits may also temporarily prevent new requests.
We may change features or usage limits as the service develops. We will show material changes to paid plans before they apply to a future billing period, as required by applicable law. We cannot guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted or that every submission will produce a usable result.
4. Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds
If you choose a subscription, the checkout shows its price, currency, billing interval, and applicable taxes before you confirm payment. Subscriptions renew until canceled. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for paid orders and handles payment, billing, and refund inquiries. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing link on your account page, the link in Paddle’s purchase email, or Paddle buyer support. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period and prevents the next renewal; it does not automatically refund past charges. Refunds and any applicable withdrawal rights are handled under Paddle’s Refund Policy and mandatory consumer law. See our Cancellation and Refunds page for the steps. 5. Your material and generated results
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit your text and PDFs. You retain any rights you hold in your source material. You give StudySlate permission to process that material and send it to the providers described in our Privacy Policy to deliver the requested study pack. Do not submit someone else’s private or protected material without permission.
StudySlate does not claim ownership of your source material or generated study packs. You may use generated results for lawful purposes, subject to any rights others may have in the source material or output. AI can produce similar results for different users, so a generated pack is not guaranteed to be unique.
6. Accounts and saved packs
You can use the generator without signing in. An account lets you save selected generated packs and manage a subscription. Source PDFs and pasted notes are not added to your saved-pack library, although a generated pack may contain summaries or excerpts. You can delete saved packs, export your account profile and saved packs, or request account deletion from your account page. If a subscription is active or has an unresolved billing status, cancel it through Paddle first; account deletion becomes available after Paddle marks it canceled. 7. Acceptable use
Use StudySlate lawfully and respect other people’s rights. In particular, do not:
- Submit material that you have no right to share, or use the service to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Upload malicious content or attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts.
- Use scripts, multiple accounts, or other methods to bypass usage limits, billing rules, or security controls.
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as a verified source when accuracy matters.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, or legal requirements. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
8. Ending use and changes to these Terms
You may stop using StudySlate at any time. Ending use or deleting an account does not itself cancel a subscription; cancel it through Paddle as described above. Obligations and rights that arose before cancellation remain in effect.
We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. For material changes, we will give notice on the site or by email where reasonably possible. If you do not agree with updated Terms, stop using the service and cancel any subscription before the changes take effect.
9. Responsibility and legal rights
We provide StudySlate with reasonable care, but cannot promise error-free AI output or uninterrupted access. To the extent allowed by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by relying on unverified generated content or by material you submit without the necessary rights. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights.
